Key terms
Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
Draft | An app that isn't published yet. Only its owner sees it. |
Published | An app that's live for your account. |
Owner | The person who built the app. Only the owner can change it. |
Clone | An independent copy of an app that you can build on. |
What you can do today

App actions
What the menu shows depends on who you are and the app's state:
Your own app (builder): Star, Rename, Share, Clone, Edit, Publish/Unpublish, Delete, Export.
An app someone else published to you (builder): only Clone and Star.
An app with no build yet (never built, or the build was stopped): only Rename, Edit and Delete.
An app that's building right now: no actions.

Publish / Unpublish | Publish opens the editor with the publish panel. Later edits show as "unpublished changes" until the owner republishes. The menu shows Publish on a draft and Unpublish on a published app. | The app owner. Each published app counts toward the client's published app limit. |
Clone | Makes a new, fully editable draft copy owned by the person who cloned it. Renaming the copy doesn't affect the original. It works on your own apps and on apps other people published to your account. | Builder. It's disabled once the client reaches its app limit. |
Star / Unstar | Adds the app to your Starred list, or removes it. You can only star published apps. On a draft it's greyed out, and hovering shows "Only published apps can be starred". | Anyone who can see a published app. Stars are personal: only you see your Starred list. |
Edit | Opens the app in the full-width editor so you can change it. | The app owner. |
Delete | Asks for confirmation, then removes the app from the library, Starred, the menu and search. Its link stops working. | The app owner. |
Import app | A button in the Apps list header. You pick an app export file (JSON), and N.Rich AI creates it as a new app in the account you're signed into. The new app is owned by whoever imported it, keeps the exported title and description, and opens in the editor. | The app owner |
FAQ
Can two people edit the same app? No. Each app has one owner. Once building opens, anyone else can clone the app to make their own version.
Why can't I see an app my colleague mentioned? It may still be a draft. Only published apps are visible to your whole team.
Why can't I star an app? Only published apps can be starred.
