Pre-check 1: where are your pages hosted?

Last updated: July 6, 2026

Before you install the N.Rich tag, you need to know where your pages live. If your main website and your campaign landing pages are all on the same platform, one installation covers everything. If they're on different platforms, you'll need to install the tag on each one separately.

This check takes a few minutes and will save you from missing pages later.

What is a "platform"?

A platform is the tool or service that powers your website or landing pages - think WordPress, HubSpot, Wix, Squarespace, or Unbounce. Any page you want N.Rich to track needs to have the tag installed on its platform.

A quick way to tell: if you log into one tool to manage your main website and a completely different tool to manage your landing pages, you're using two platforms.

Step 1: Check your URLs

The quickest check is looking at the web addresses of your pages. Open a few of your marketing pages and a few of your campaign landing pages and compare the URLs.

Step 2: Use a lookup tool to confirm

If the URLs alone aren't conclusive, two free tools can tell you exactly what's running under the hood.

Whois Lookup - go to whois.domaintools.com and enter each page URL one at a time. On the results page, look at the IP Address, IP Location, and ASN fields. These should match across all pages on the same platform.

BuiltWith - go to builtwith.com and enter each URL. On the results page, scroll down to the Content Management System and Web Hosting Providers sections. These should be the same for every page on the same platform.

What to do with the result

All pages on the same platform - you only need to install the N.Rich tag once, on that platform. Continue to the next pre-check: Pre-check: do you use cookies - and which CMP?

Pages on different platforms - you'll need to install the tag on each platform separately. Make a note of all the platforms involved before you start. Then continue to: Pre-check: do you use cookies - and which CMP?
